Kerri-Anne Kennerley supported Who magazine after there was a photo blunder of which the 19 years old South Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech thinks being the victim of racism.
Adut Akech was a primary model to feature the story in last week’s issue of the Who magazine, marking her role as Melbourne Fashion face of the Week.
But the long shot, Akech was to feature was of another model, Flavia Lazarus, and of which saddened Adut, who took it to Instagram to express her disappointment.
The 19-year-old supermodel confessed in a long notice about her journey from refugee to one of the most in-demand models in the world.

However, yesterday on Studio 10, Kennerley mentioned that the model “took it way too far” denying the error was an example of racism.
“Somebody made a mistake. It’s a big mistake, but that said, you have editors and writers, then you have (photo) editors who actually put the pictures in the magazine. Normally, the journo’s got no input into the photographs.”
“All of a sudden, somebody comes along, they were probably in a bit of a hurry, or, as some suggest from the information that someone has (offered), her agency sent the wrong one along.”
Following the scenario, the South-Sudanese international model Adut Akech vowed that she would use her platform for change, following the ‘racist’ photo blunder.
Yet, Adut Akech stays mum about Kerrie Anne Kennerley words for being a little overwhelmed.
