Franklin Teacher was arrested in Seattle for s*xually offending a 16-year-old girl.

The allegations against the Seattle high school science teacher have sparked outrage and concern among parents and students.

The student in question, a 16-year-old female, admitted to the police that she had engaged in a “consensual s*xual relationship with one of her teachers.” The intimate relationship began on February 2, 2023.

The statement revealed that the two had engaged in s*xual intercourse at least five times in the past two weeks.

Moreover, according to the documents, the student also disclosed that she and the teacher had exchanged more than 3,000 messages via Discord, email, and texts.

The officer who interviewed the student also noted that he had read s*xually explicit messages, including one that stated, “You didn’t even do any work and got an A from me.”

Based on these claims, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office argued that there was cause for five counts of s*xual misconduct with a minor in the first degree and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

The KCPAO also urged that the teacher’s bail be set at $250,000 due to the danger to the community. However, the first appearance judge set bail at $100,000.

The case referral is expected to be submitted by the police later this week.

Following the allegations, Seattle Public Schools placed the teacher on paid administrative leave.

The district referred to a letter sent out by Franklin High School’s principal, which stated that the school and district officials acted quickly to address the situation upon learning of the allegations.

The teacher has been prohibited from contacting students, families, and staff and is also not allowed to enter any SPS school buildings or attend school-related events.

The district assured the public that it had initiated a full internal investigation through its Human Resources Department and Office of Student Civil Rights.

“We have initiated a full internal investigation through the district’s Human Resources Department and Office of Student Civil Rights,” the district said. “As part of our process, we have informed and will collaborate with the Seattle Police Department.”

They also informed us that they would collaborate with the Seattle Police Department as part of their process.
