Last night at The Old Queen’s Head in Angel, Jerry Williams performed a private gig. She is promoting her new single ‘Boy Oh Boy’ which she performed last night.
The Guardian have tipped her to be a big thing in 2016 and her music is said to be a retro take on early Lilly Allen-esque pop.
She clearly bases her music around personal experiences as she wrote a song called ‘cocktails with my cousin’ after having a night out with her cousin. This was one of the tracks she played for us last night.
Being a 19 year old girl some tracks are about boys like ‘tie kicker’ which is about boys who waste your time.
Jerry also played ‘Velcro’ which is a song she performs by herself which is based around the feeling of not being able to let someone go.
Finally she ended her show with her new single which you can see for yourself just below.
