’20/20: Mystery in Memphis’ on ABC describes the tragic events that occurred in July 2010—the disappearance and murder of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright. The deceased basketball player had travelled to Memphis, Tennessee from his home in Atlanta, Georgia, to see his ex-wife, Sherra Wright-Robinson, and their children when he was fatally murdered. Just five months before, Sherra and Lorenzen had separated, but they looked to have maintained good relations with their family. Unfortunately, Sherra was ultimately responsible for planning her ex-murder husband’s out of financial gain, avarice, and family secrets. Want to know where their children are right now? This is what we do know.

Lorenzen and Sherra Wright welcomed seven lovely children into their family during their marriage. Their first child, Lorenzen Wright Jr., was born on April 11, 1995. Then came Loren Wright, their oldest child. She was followed by her twin brothers Lamar and Shamar Wright, who were subsequently joined by their youngest child, Sofia Wright, who is now in her early teens. Lawson Wright is one of them. Another daughter, Sierra Wright, was born to the couple on March 14, 2002; sadly, she died of sudden infant death syndrome barely 11 months later, on March 1, 2003, at their home in Memphis, Tennessee.
Sherra Wright-Robinson and her remaining six children were all living in California at the time of her arrest in December 2017. Her children stood by her side and supported her as she admitted guilt to the charge of first-degree murder facilitation for her part in the death of her ex-husband and received a 30-year prison term. On the day she entered a guilty plea, she explained that her children were the only reason she made this choice, adding that “everything is not what it seems.”

Loren Wright, who appeared to speak the loudest at her mother’s trial, claimed that she and her siblings were all extremely close and that if they didn’t speak to any relatives, it was out of their own volition and not because their mother had forbade it. Naturally, this happened after Lorenzen’s mother, Deborah Marion, pleaded with the judge to allow her unrestricted access to see and speak with her grandkids. Then, all Loren said was that the brothers and sisters merely desired some solitude. “Because my mom and the six of us are so close, we feel like we don’t really need much in the way of support,” the author says.

At the age of 25, Lorenzen Wright Jr. instructed high school pupils while coaching basketball. In order to combine his work and family obligations, he currently works for QC Investors and splits his time between Memphis, Tennessee, and Riverside, California. On the other hand, Loren Wright’s Facebook profile indicates that she is married and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. It appears that she is Sofia’s guardian. Even more rumours assert that Loren is a licenced nurse.
Shamar and Lamar Wright are on the fast track to becoming professional basketball players after following in their father’s footsteps. They both play forward for the Division 1 SIU Edwardsville Cougars men’s basketball team and intend to continue doing so in the future. Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available on Lawson other the fact that he lives in Houston, Texas, and supports his siblings in whatever they do. The six Wright children still uphold their mother’s innocence.
