Although Mara Justine gained notoriety as a competitor on season 24 of The Voice, where she was a member of team Niall Horan, she had previously participated in several televised singing competitions.

Mara was born on February 28th. When she competed on The Voice in the autumn of 2023, she was 21 years old. She disclosed that she celebrated her 21st birthday at the Tropicana in Atlantic City in an Instagram photo on March 5.

Mara is a native of New Jersey. Her hometown is Galloway Township, which is located in the state’s south.

When did Mara make her debut in the music industry?

When she was nine years old, Mara made her stage debut at a nearby singing competition, kickstarting her singing career.

Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All” was her winning performance. She then started doing performances at various neighbourhood gatherings, such as sporting functions and charity benefits.

She was performing at neighbourhood eateries and pubs on the Jersey Shore before her appearance on The Voice.

Mara’s NBC bio describes her family as a “close-knit Italian family.” Her mother, Linda, is receiving treatment for an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis.

Mara has four siblings, one of whom is a musician by the name of Jacey. Mara is the family’s fourth-oldest child.

John decided to keep Mara on his squad instead of Claudia B. throughout the battle rounds.

While John chose Kaylee Shimizu over Mara and Caleb Sasser in the knockout round, Niall intervened to choose Mara for his side. She was on Team Niall and made it to the finals (top 5).

Was Mara Justine on America’s Got Talent too?

Mara competed on America’s Got Talent long before she went for a voice audition. She was a top 12 finalist on the ninth season of the show in 2014. She did not, however, collect enough votes to place among the top 6.

Mara gave performances of Dreamgirls’ “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally,” and Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” on America’s Got Talent.

Pink’s “Perfect” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway”

American Idol featured Mara as well. In 2018, she appeared in season sixteen. Mara was removed from American Idol after placing in the top 14.
